Muraleedharan chemancheri, A popular multi talented artist based at Kozhikode was born to late Naanu and Saantha on 21st May 1974. Since last 37 years he has been actively involved in various art forms which includes folk as well as classical art forms. These includes Theyyam, Kettiyaattam, All kinds of percussions etc,. He was trained by Sivadas Chemancheri, Sukumaran Bhagavathar Sivasankara Maarar and Babu Kanhilasseri in various of his talents respectively. He has coordinated and accomplished a fusion of all musical instruments, folk songs and Theyyam in 2010. Besides he is a member of “Purogamana Kala Sahithya Sankham” and Unit secretary of “Nanma”, Chemancheri. He has received various recognitions including the “ KalaPrathibha” Award of Mathrubhumi Study circle, “Bombay All Malayalee Kalaprathibha puraskaaram”, Rotary “Ramayana Parayana Kalarathna” 2017-18. He has visited Hyderabad, Gujarath and Bombay as part of his performances.
